What is the purpose of this

Personally I find typing random words in typing games a missed opportunity, so I decided to offer an option where you can get the most out of a typing practice session. Some people, like myself, are kinesthetic, which means it's easier to learn by doing (like writing/typing). I also just like the feeling of typing in a computer with a good keyboard. So the main objective of this game is to facilitate learning, not just of typing itself but learning about whatever topic the player wants. Since you can decide what text to type and even randomize it, later on you'll also be able to add bookmarks so that you can pause a game to continue where you left off later on.

This is also a small project I do for fun and to practice my scripting skills. I'm an artist more than a programmer, and funnily enough I've had the most issues with making art for this game than programming it, as you can see by the complete lack of art. Probably because I get to do art as my daily job but I don't get to do a lot of programming. I have some sketches and plans but I'm still working on it.

Since all the main functionalities are done and working I've decided to make this project public while I add in the art. There's also plans on adding activities or challenges to encourage the improvement of words per minute, but that would come after the art.
